Boehner in a Nutshell

21 May

Sitting here, drinking coffee while recovering from a long trip, Hubby brought up a very good point concerning our esteemed Speaker of the House, Rep. John Boehner. U.S. Court of Appeals in Manhattan ruled the NSA gathering of bulk data was illegal, admonishing a lower court for throwing out the case and stating the practice is legal.

“We hold that the text of § 215 cannot bear the weight the government asks us to assign to it, and that it does not authorize the telephone metadata program.”

Section 215 is crux of the law. Senator Rand Paul is filibustering it as I type. So what does Speaker Boehner do?

He punts to Senate Majority Leader McConnell, not to dismantle the law, not to restructure the law, but to figure out whether the private companies or the government should hold the metadata!!!! Because no private company would ever cave in to a government demand, right?

The most telling part? He would not answer whether he supports an extension. And you know what that means. If he didn’t support it, he would have said so while wrapped in Old Glory. Our liberties are stripped from us like onion skin on a daily basis, and all he cares about is who holds the power.

It’s time to kick this SOB out to the curb.

Fisking an Idiot

6 May

By now everyone is aware of the jihad attack in Garland, Texas. Two terrorists were just too thin-skinned to allow anyone much less a lowly woman “insult” their so-called god, and thus decided to drive over to a Mohammed-drawing contest and shoot everyone dead. Because they are peaceful like that. Anyway, Sandhya Somashekhar, a “social change reporter” for Washington Post was just not happy about the events and decided to take Pam Geller, the host of said event to task. My response to each paragraph follows thus: *flips the bird*

Event organizer offers no apology after thwarted attack in Texas

No shit, you idiot. She didn’t attempt to kill anyone. She was exercising her rights, just as YOU are exercising YOUR right to write such crap.

Pamela Geller, the woman behind the Texas cartoon contest attacked by two gunmen late Sunday, knew what she was doing when she staged the controversial event featuring irreverent depictions of the prophet Muhammad in Garland, Tex.

Of course she knew!! EVERYONE LIVING IN REALITY KNEW!!! She was making a point sharper than the one on your head: WE WILL NOT BOW TO ISLAM.

The Dallas suburb had hosted a pro-Muslim conference in January, about the time Islamist terrorists killed a dozen journalists with the satirical French publication Charlie Hebdo. Geller, a blogger and fierce critic of what she calls the “Islamization” of America, wanted to make a statement.

Excuse me, but did not the pro-Muslim conference also make a statement? Did they denounce the Charlie Hebdo attacks? No, they had their own agenda complete with ice cream and Maghrib. Your attempt to link their demonstration as a “Stand with Hebdo” shindig is beyond appalling.

So she sponsored the Jihad Watch Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest in the same exhibition hall as the earlier conference. She and her associates invited 200 people and hired 40 heavily armed off-duty police officers and security guards to protect them.

So ask yourself WHY they needed the “heavily-armed” protection if Islam is such a peaceful religion.

If the contest was intended as bait, it worked. Police say two men drove 1,000 miles from Phoenix, shot at a police car outside the event and were quickly killed by one of the hired guards. The shooting has been condemned by Muslim leaders, and Geller, too, has come under fire for staging an event many viewed as purposely provocative.

Bait? BAIT?? Are you fucking kidding me?? She has every fucking RIGHT to hold that contest, and when you think about it, it fucking worked. Two terrorists were flushed out and down the drain, and now ISIS/ ISIL/ IS/ Newest camelfuckers are coming out and claiming to have other terrorists in wait in several states, in our country. The same country that gave them freedom to hold that pro-Muslim shindig.

In an interview with The Washington Post, Geller said she and her fellow organizers were “prepared for violence” this past weekend. In tweets immediately after the shooting, Geller appeared almost gleeful that she had been right.

That is libelous, and this so-called writer should be worried that Geller may sue. Anyone familiar with Twitter knows she was reporting the gunshots, and the casualties. There were no exclamation points, no ” Told ya so!!” and certainly no glee coming from a woman who was the target of an assassination.

The writer goes on to write several paragraphs about Ms. Geller, softly condemning her as a “housewife” and ridiculing her attempts to bring Islam into the light for what it is. She even brought up her “unsuccessful” lawsuit to bring forth the ad campaign: “Killing Jews is Worship that draws us close to Allah.” The one that NYC upheld as being free speech, and which is currently running on MTA buses (MTA has since decided not to display any ads on the buses, because fweelings). Because she uses a Palestinian Authority quote, it is hate speech. What the writer doesn’t realize is that she is right, for the wrong reason. It IS hate speech, but not against Islam. She needs to go change her diaper.

Finally, she gives the last voice to Alia Salem, director for the DFW chapter of CAIR.

Salem said the local Muslim community has been on edge ever since. Controversy has also flared around a private arbitration service for Muslims that opened in Dallas last year — called an Islamic “tribunal” — and in connection with the shooting death of an Iraqi immigrant shot outside his Dallas apartment in March as he photographed his first snowfall.

“The North Texas Muslim community has been very nervous and scared,” Salem said. “Tension has been very high since January.”

As tragic as that death is, the fact remains that the gentleman who was shot and killed was not targeted due to his ethnicity. The fucker just decided to shoot indiscriminately after someone shot at his girlfriend’s apartment. I am a firm believer in that every crime is a hate crime, but as defined by CAIR, this certainly doesn’t meet the requirements. However, I am still waiting for the backlash against Muslim communities that was predicted on 9/12/2001.

The fact that the terrorists PROVED Geller’s point escapes this so-called reporter. Perhaps she will experience some backlash for her stupidity, and think twice about asking a victim to apologize.

Show Me Who Your Friends Are, and I’ll Show You Who You Are

3 Mar

Today marks an “historic” occasion. Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, will be addressing a joint session of Congress. It isn’t the first time he has done so, but it is “historic” for one reason only: he was not invited by our es-steamed Prez but by our Speaker, John Boehner. To hear the Democrats tell it, this is such a huge breach of protocol that Netanyahu needs to be censored.

CENSORED!!!

The Prime Minister isn’t here to tell us who to vote for, or with whom to ally ourselves. He is here to warn us of the potential catastrophe that everyone else sees developing in the Middle East. Israel is not alone in seeing the dangers of a nuclear Iran. They are alone in bearing the brunt of its capability, though. But our administration is concerned more with making a deal with a rogue state than it is with keeping an ally safe. In fact, the administration is more concerned with helping to remove Netanyahu from office than with helping a nation survive.

I would like to say that I am surprised, shocked, freaked out by the way the administration is working to undermine a friend of our country. I would like to say it. I can’t, because this is their modus operandi. The only thing that surprises me out of the White House is finding Teh Prez in the Oval Office.

But finding out that 55 Democrats will be boycotting Netanyahu’s speech? Yes, that surprised and even shocked me. And I have one thing to say about it:

Who the hell do you think YOU work for??

You public servants work for us, the PUBLIC, and not this administration. Teh Prez is NOT your boss. In fact, WE are HIS boss. YOU are supposed to represent us and not the whims of a feckless leader who is whining about getting his feelings hurt because he didn’t get the chance to tell Netanyahu “NO”. Don’t give me the “it is a breach of etiquette” excuse or the “so disrespectful to our president” excuse. That doesn’t wash, especially in view of how disrespectful our Prez was leaving Netanyahu to wait for over an hour while he went to have dinner. So shove it and go do you damn job.

Oh, and I have one last thing to say: these are Democrats who are boycotting a Jew and a leader of THE Jewish State. I really hope our Jewish-Americans take note and learn a lesson about voting against your principles.

When Bad Men Combine…

3 Feb

the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.

That quote is by Edmund Burke, who is often credited with the quote, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing”. Whereas the latter has no history in his works, the former does. I read the news this afternoon and found his words once again flashing behind my eyes like a portent of the coming storm. Only in this case we are in the eye, not the outskirts.

Nature abhors a vacuum, and with “Al Qaeda on the run” (not really), a new head of the hydra has sprung from its neck. IS, or ISIS, or ISIL (as our esteemed Prez prefers, since the Levant is important to the Islamic jihadist) has been growing like a contagion in a petri dish. This is not news to anyone paying attention. I am far from a political strategist, but even I can see that these jihadists are beyond dangerous. And today they proved it. ISIS had captured Jordanian pilot Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh. Jordan for its part threatened severe repercussions should he be harmed or killed: all ISIS prisoners in Jordan would be executed. For a while, the world thought ISIS would pause and reconsider.

They did. Instead of beheading Lt. al-Kaseasbeh, they burned him alive.

THIS is the evil that is sprouting forth from that hell. Like a contagion, they are growing and contaminating everything they touch with certain death. They do not care about their own, much less those who do not follow their cult. They want to dominate the rest of us, and we sit here across the ocean watching their horrors and wringing our hands wondering how this happened. It happened because we didn’t win the war, we just “ended” it. It happened because we are too afraid of being politically incorrect and hurting someone’s feelings or being labeled a hater. It happened because we decided we had to tolerate everything in the name of being understanding towards those who hate us because of some idiotic “privilege” we are supposed to have. It happened because we are so busy thinking about how fast the wifi is and how some football team cheated and how the non-fat venti caramel macchiato was not hot enough. It happened because we really believed that things were safe here.

Well, no. Things are not safe here. Not when we have Islamic radicals killing cops and beheading co-workers in the name of their god. I don’t care if you believe in God or believe in ice crystals on a comet. No one should ever tolerate evil for any reason. The Holy Bible not only commands us to fight evil, but also to vanquish it. Buddhists in Nepal are rising up against evil. The Chinese government is cracking down on Muslim activism. Russia threatens Islamic jihadists with graves filled with pig entrails and blood.

And how do we deal with the threat of jihad? We try to understand it. It doesn’t take a village or an idiot to see that they hate us and want us dead for no other reason than we are not them. End of discussion. They sit there watching us try to make sense of their actions, and they laugh because we are so stupid to see the obvious. They relish our confusion and our willingness to excuse their actions. They snicker at the pantywaist idiots who march alongside them screaming for Shari’a. They set the world on fire, and all we do is try to put it out with kerosene.

The ISIS jihadists set a prisoner on fire to send the world a message: we will conquer you at any cost. Ask any doctor how you fight a contagion. That is exactly how we must fight ISIS, Al Qaeda, and any other head that sprouts from that hydra of evil. To do any less is to allow evil to flourish and scorch the earth.

The Wheels on the Bus Are Bloody

29 Sep

It isn’t every day I find a Daily Beast article worthy of mention (aside from Kirsten Powers), but when they find a nut in a broken clock, it is worth giving kudos.

Nearly eight months ago, some of President Obama’s senior intelligence officials were already warning that ISIS was on the move. In the beginning of 2014, ISIS fighters had defeated Iraqi forces in Fallujah, leading much of the U.S. intelligence community to assess they would try to take more of Iraq.

But in an interview that aired Sunday evening, the president told 60 Minutes that the rise of the group now proclaiming itself a caliphate in territory between Syria and Iraq caught the U.S. intelligence community off guard. Obama specifically blamed James Clapper, the current director of national intelligence: “Our head of the intelligence community, Jim Clapper, has acknowledged that, I think, they underestimated what had been taking place in Syria,” he said.

To be precise, James Clapper said he underestimated the will of the ISIS/ ISIL/ IS/ Islamofacist goatfucking fighters and overestimated the ability of the Iraqi force to fight them. But the administration knew full well what was taking place in Syria. Clapper even went on to warn the administration (read into this, The Prez) about the possibility of the jihadist groups in Syria to coalesce and bring foreign fighters into their ranks. I don’t know enough about James Clapper to form an opinion either way, but it seems to me that he was making insightful assessments and the administration was looking the other way. Either that, or the administration was colluding. Sad to say, but that is in the realm of possibility.

And that possibility is reaffirmed when The Prez keeps insisting ISIS/ ISIL/ IS/ Islamofascist goatfucking assholes are not Islamic.

Booze of the Week

23 Sep

No girlie drink today. Our esteemed Prez decided he doesn’t need Congress to send airstrikes to Syria. So time for the hard stuff.

Tennessee Honey is not as sweet as American Honey by Wild Turkey, but you can still appreciate a sweetness and mellowness from the oak. Best way to drink is straight. If you are like me, do one part of the JD Honey to three parts lemonade and BAM!!! Uh- MAY-zing!! Truly a great way to forget the current imbroglio that is a war but not really. Cheers!! 😀
