Show Me Who Your Friends Are, and I’ll Show You Who You Are

3 Mar

Today marks an “historic” occasion. Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, will be addressing a joint session of Congress. It isn’t the first time he has done so, but it is “historic” for one reason only: he was not invited by our es-steamed Prez but by our Speaker, John Boehner. To hear the Democrats tell it, this is such a huge breach of protocol that Netanyahu needs to be censored.

CENSORED!!!

The Prime Minister isn’t here to tell us who to vote for, or with whom to ally ourselves. He is here to warn us of the potential catastrophe that everyone else sees developing in the Middle East. Israel is not alone in seeing the dangers of a nuclear Iran. They are alone in bearing the brunt of its capability, though. But our administration is concerned more with making a deal with a rogue state than it is with keeping an ally safe. In fact, the administration is more concerned with helping to remove Netanyahu from office than with helping a nation survive.

I would like to say that I am surprised, shocked, freaked out by the way the administration is working to undermine a friend of our country. I would like to say it. I can’t, because this is their modus operandi. The only thing that surprises me out of the White House is finding Teh Prez in the Oval Office.

But finding out that 55 Democrats will be boycotting Netanyahu’s speech? Yes, that surprised and even shocked me. And I have one thing to say about it:

Who the hell do you think YOU work for??

You public servants work for us, the PUBLIC, and not this administration. Teh Prez is NOT your boss. In fact, WE are HIS boss. YOU are supposed to represent us and not the whims of a feckless leader who is whining about getting his feelings hurt because he didn’t get the chance to tell Netanyahu “NO”. Don’t give me the “it is a breach of etiquette” excuse or the “so disrespectful to our president” excuse. That doesn’t wash, especially in view of how disrespectful our Prez was leaving Netanyahu to wait for over an hour while he went to have dinner. So shove it and go do you damn job.

Oh, and I have one last thing to say: these are Democrats who are boycotting a Jew and a leader of THE Jewish State. I really hope our Jewish-Americans take note and learn a lesson about voting against your principles.

Doesn’t seem like they will learn anytime soon, either.

Well said. These feckless shitbag dems(BIRM) need to be tarred and feathered, and the have their heads mounted on pikes. But that is just my humble opinion…

They can’t acknowledge evil, so they disparage those who do.

The pResident has always had his own agenda … too bad it is direct opposition to what are the best interests of the country … and the best interests of all those who value that which we consider to be the unalienable human rights granted to all men. And yes, almost all the confess critters along with their fellows in the Senate, seem to have quite forgotten who their boss really is.

Y’all need to listen to the Dem response. Two words: politically acrimonious.

I was lucky enough to be able to catch the last 10 minutes or so of his speech. What an amazing leader. Very refreshing after 6 yrs of the poser in chief that we in the US are currently afflicted with.
He laid it out and did it with panache. Makes a very stark contrast to bam bam, i suspect that is what had our leftist friends panties in a twist

From the liberal screeching, I have to say Bibi was over the target 😉

    As I said at XbradTC:
“I found it “interesting” that the Demoncrats were ready, as soon as Bibi finished speaking, to go on camera with a “Rebuttal”!
Really, a rebuttal to what? Bibi was not speaking for the Republicans. Why was there the need for a Democrat “rebuttal”?
Why, it’s almost as though they had their “Talking Points” handed to them before-hand.
Rep Yarmuth(A token self-hating JEW!!!), was selected to call Bibi names, though he was not even present for the speech.
It was as though the left was striking-out at Bibi for casting doubt on “Their Precious”, not that they had any problems with what he was saying about the danger that a nuclear Iran presented to Israel, the Gulf States, or America.
We have become an unserious nation.”

What rattled the dissenters was the obvious respect and genuine LIKE the chamber showed Netanyahu. The boycotting faction expected only the Republicans to fawn, but it was obviously bipartisan. Some may not have liked it (Pelosi), but most did. And it showed that we as a nation support Israel. That contrasted harshly with them, and with the administration.

At least we know who to hang from the trees lining the National Mall first.

What a concept! House representatives representing the people who voted for them and not some party missions statement. Likewise, I’m surprised the Senate has not passed a law declaring they shall be addressed as Lords and Ladies. All the president has become is the defacto hack to push said mission statement through.

I’m trying to recall the last time someone running for office asked me what I thought should be done. Still thinking. Don’t wait up.

Honestly, I am starting to equate them all to Cassius, he with the lean and hungry look.
