By the way, on Thursday I made the best turkey in the history of turkey.

No, I made the best turkey in the history of turkey.

Ok, maybe not. But it would be fun to have a turkey cook-off JUST so I could meat up with y’all 😀

    No pun intended.

No fair! I have to have a smoker to make the best turkey in the history of turkey.

Hm, you make a fine point there.

Ok, I concede, but only because I take your word for it 😀

I magically gained 4 lbs last weekend.

I love living in the Internet Age – my girls just send me their Amazon Wish Lists, and I can get them what they really want and have it delivered right to my door.

And with the comments section, I can find really useful information – like if the manufacturer of a particular product doesn’t consider Amazon an “Approved Dealer”, thus voiding the warranty.

Which allows me to go to the manufacturer’s website and get it directly from them – with the Cyber Weekend discount AND free shipping.

    Full.Of.Win.

    It’s official – DD#3’s kitteh is a stoner.

He hopped up on the couch just now, and wouldn’t leave her alone until she opened up the baggie with the catnip in it. He then proceeded to dip his paw in, scoop out a huge amount (which promptly went everywhere), and then roll around in it.

    We’re still laughing…..

Haha, the President’s lackeys are going after Mitch Rapp in The Last Man.

    This is gonna be GOOD!

  12. clintbird November 27, 2012 at 1:09 pm #

Who’s Mitch Rapp? What is The Last Man?

  13. clintbird November 27, 2012 at 1:10 pm #

Oh, I looked it up. A fictional character.

  14. Jay in Ames November 27, 2012 at 1:19 pm #

Sorry clint, thought everybody knew this one. Vince Flynn’s newest novel. It’s starting out with a bang!

It’s a good read, Jay – my copy is now on Mr. TiFW’s stack of “Books she’s read already that I plan on reading someday” – I think it’s #25 in the rotation.

    I’m a very fast reader…..

I’m liking it, a lot. I love the beginning, with the shady Afghan police chief.

  17. clintbird November 27, 2012 at 5:37 pm #

I rarely if ever read fiction.

    I know that you’re not a plaything,
    Not a puppet on a string. . .

    … cry like a baby!

The Mitch Rapp series is a nice escape. It’s how you would like to act. Same with Scot Harvath and old Tom Clancy.

New Tom Clancy not so much. It’s not him writing, it’s a vehicle for other writers.

Reading?? Who has time for that???

    • Jay in Ames November 28, 2012 at 10:46 am #

That’s why I listen to books on the way to work.

  22. LC Aggie Sith November 28, 2012 at 10:46 am #

Should I do a new poat?

  23. LC Aggie Sith November 28, 2012 at 10:46 am #

Or just let this one marinate some more?

    • Jay in Ames November 28, 2012 at 10:49 am #

      New poats are always welcome.

Plus there’s a chance you might post a comely lass.

  24. LC Aggie Sith November 28, 2012 at 10:51 am #

Oh, I see now. That’s all I’m good for, isn’t it???

    Fine….FINE!!!

Since I’m good at it, might as well do it 😀

I’m rereading old Bill Whittle essays. Just finished Tribes.
