The slut one generated a giggle along with nevermind as a dismissal.

Romney did well, Reaganesque in a way. The focus group segment showed on FOX after the event was interesting in that the group as a whole felt comfortable (but still restrained) in thier thoughts. There is a dynamic being floated that basically states that given that for the last four years any criticism of the socialist in chief is auto portrayed as raaaaaacist has the effect of suppressing the criticism and therfore makes gauging the true feelings of the public using polls or public comments skewed. I think there validity to this concept.

Overall, Romney won the battle last nite, but I don’t think it was a major game changer. What it was to me was a huge morale lifter. Looking forward to the next one (foreign policy) and of course the just about guarenteed asswhiping Ryan will deliver to Biden. The only thing Ryan will have to do is not be percieved as kicking a wounded puppy.

Harvest season is over for me for all intensive purposes so body is recovering. Unfortunatley the family unit has received another major blow as our grand patriarch went to heaven suddenly Saturday night. The lad is devastated, along with all others and I’m. Just running around putting out emotional brushfires. Thankfully the work tiempo allows me the latitude to accomplish my duty. And who says God doesn’t work in mysterious ways?

Ugh, that sucks, Troy. Glad to hear that harvest is winding down, though.

It really isn’t quite fair to send John Sununu into a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent…..

aggie, it should post it automatically. I was just wondering why yours didn’t.

    • LC Aggie Sith October 4, 2012 at 3:43 pm #

Really? I usually just click the twitter button and share that way.

  12. Jay in Ames October 4, 2012 at 4:04 pm #

Yeah, over in the publish box in the post screen, there’s an option “Publicize”. Click edit, and it displays a box that automatically goes to twitter when you post. At the scheduled time, if that option is employed.

Your post had that box unchecked, mine is always checked. Not sure why.

It’s late fall and the Indians on a remote reservation in Oklahoma asked their new chief if the coming winter was going to be cold or mild.
Since he was a chief in a modern society, he had never been taught the old secrets. When he looked at the sky, he couldn’t tell what the winter was going to be like.
Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, he told his tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village should collect firewood to be prepared.
But, being a practical leader, after several days, he got an idea. He went to the phone booth, called the National Weather Service and asked, ‘Is the coming winter going to be cold?’
‘It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold,’ the meteorologist at the weather service responded.
So the chief ! went back to his people and told them to collect even more firewood in order to be prepared.
A week later, he called the National Weather Service again. ‘Does it still look like it is going to be a very cold winter?’
‘Yes,’ the man at National Weather Service again replied, ‘it’s going to be a very cold winter.’
The chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every scrap of firewood they could find.
Two weeks later, the chief called the National Weather Service again. ‘Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?’
‘Absolutely,’ the man replied. ‘It’s looking more and more like it is going to be one of the coldest winters we’ve ever seen.’
‘How can you be so sure?’ the chief asked.
The weatherman replied, ‘The Indians are collecting a shitload of firewood’
