Who does this remind you of?

29 Jun

Ya gotta focus on your priorities, right?

Quite the sign of the times, eh?

I try to keep this in mind throughout the day:

I just had to post this one, after yesterday, and seeing him spike the football.

We all lost some of our innocence when TiFW dropped her first one, didn’t we?

4.2 million, from 42,000 people in donations yesterday. Yeah, I’d say some of us were motivated. They might even get me to call people, in addition to other duties.

I HATE HATE HATE political calls. But I’ll do whatever I have to do.

    (whoops, wrong thread!)

I’m no longer angry about yesterday. I am resigned to the inevitable. My job now is to fight to the end. I will vote. I will educate. I successfully converted a apolitical 34 male yesterday to a conservative, he already leaned being conservative, just didn’t know it. When it finally got through his brain housing group that he could be “taxed” for not buying something, you could see the light kick on. And now he’s going to go back to his small town farm boy types and tell them. Phase two begins Monday, VOTE! Do your civic DUTY! You can’t bitch if you don’t vote. Do you love freedom and america? Phase 3. All Progressives must die. All socialists must die. (Might as well begin building my squad now)

Pray we never see phase 4.

    I love freedom! I’m in phase 2!

    Woo hoo!

So…..Obama says the mandate isn’t a tax, huh?

I guess he forgot when his lawyer approached the SCOTUS back in March to make the argument that it IS a tax – but I searched my blog for my post about it (mostly ‘cuz I was being a smartass and comparing Obama’s arguments to the SNL desert topping/floor wax commercial from way back when):

    From March: http://teresainfortworth.wordpress.com/2012/03/26/its-a-tax-no-its-a-mandate/

(In today’s post, I let the young Obamabots from 2008 know what is going to be expected of them, now that Obamacare is a tax)

That kid from “Third Rock from the Sun” sure has matured into quite the versatile actor, hasn’t he? Kinda like Leonardo diCaprio (yeah, I know – he’s a full-bore liberal, but he’s got some serious acting chops).

    A humble proposal:

“No branch of Government may compel any Citizen to participate in Commerce, nor may any Citizen be penalized or taxed for choosing not to participate in Commerce.”

That’s my humble submission for a new Constitutional Amendment.

Yeah, there’s (a little bit) more:

If you like it, pass it along.
Tweet it with the hashtag #27for28: There’s 27 words in that proposal for the 28th Amendment…..

    I’m En Fuego:

Mr. Obama has his bill – now he can try and enforce it:

Me? I think I will be willfully non-compliant and allow the Federal Government to house me in a minimum-security, country-club jail where I will get 3 hots and a cot and FREE HEALTHCARE, courtesy of all of the saps who voted for the SCOAMF…..

All this Healthcare SCOTUS decision thinking has steered me in one direction: every school in America is left wing, and progressive, especially law schools.

Think about it: almost all Supreme Court justices wind up drifting to the left, even the left wing ones. Ginsburg wasn’t this tilted when Clinton sent her up, O’Conner certainly drifted.

What is it about Scalia and Thomas that keeps them grounded? Scalia is a Georgetown/Harvard product, and Thomas is Yale. No different than most, as far as I can tell.

I hope Liberty University has a good law program.
