Lately, all my plans have been spectacular failures. Is that considered a win??

Heh, my monday is slowly turning in compost too, so I get what you are shoveling.

Well, my whole weekend was spent worrying, so I’m glad to be over that today!

Given the age of your kids, Aggie, I’d say you’re right on target.

I thought it would get easier as they got older, and it does – but not until they all leave home; high school/college is the absolute worst when it comes to that sort of thing. I think it’s because you are no longer in control of everyone’s schedule, and being kids they don’t tell you until 5 minutes beforehand what “your” schedule is…..

Once they’re in college, you get the panicked phone calls about things that you have no control over. They thankfully come farther apart the further along they are in college.

DD#2 just about knocked me on the floor the other day when she laughed and told me, “You know all those things you were always saying when I was younger? Darn it if you weren’t right!”

We had a good laugh over that…..

Yeah, plans are for shit at this stage.

It does get better, Ags – you know I’m always here if you ever need to talk! 😛

DD#1 just called – she got an offer for the job that she really wanted to get (she is at the end of her leadership training rotations – this is a long-term assignment).

She’ll be in D.C., but will be travelling to FTW a few times a year on business, so we’ll be able to see her on the company’s dime.

And most of the trips that Mr. TiFW has made in the past few years have been to that area, so he may get a couple of paid trips to see her as well!

DC is also where her boyfriend is, so they’ll finally be together.

    She’s very happy!

Congrats to DD#! on her job 😀

We’ll see how things work out with her and the boyfriend – they’ve only ever had a long-distance relationship; close quarters should be an interesting change of pace…..

(Don’t tell her I said that)

She also said that current plans call for her to be on a business trip around the time of Rebecca and Mr. TiFW’s birthdays, so she’s hoping the dates stand. She’s still deciding if she wants to “surprise Daddy”; she doesn’t know if she can keep it a secret, though!

    Homemade hot italian sausage, FTW!

Needs a bit more fat to be truly great, but it tastes awesome. I kick Johnsonville’s ass!

    Chief, new brand of balls!
