Peasant Dating

19 Mar

I don’t know if I should feel happy, or insulted that this never happened to me.

This never happens to brunettes 😉

Have a great Monday!!

    Grain alcohol works well, too.

  8. Jay in Ames March 19, 2012 at 11:14 am #

Started reading Kill Shot. Weird, another flashback book. Interesting setup though.

I need to finish the rest of the Mitch books before getting that one, though I understand it’s a prequel.

That is patently false. I need no excuse to sit on the couch and watch basketball for a whole weekend.

    Those guys are just whipped.

  12. Jay in Ames March 19, 2012 at 11:54 am #

Plus the guy’s got an Eastern Iowa Technical College sweatshirt on. I’d burst into flames if I wore that.

Maybe it’s Lizard. Prostate problems, and all that.

    That’s gonna leave a mark:

    http://www.patheos.com/blogs/bristolpalin/2012/03/mr-president-when-should-i-expect-your-call/

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree – and now the Dems have TWO generations of spunky Palin women to deal with…..

  17. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX March 19, 2012 at 2:40 pm #

So – I started reading the Vince Flynn books a month ago, and just finished the last one last night. How long before the next one comes out?

In the mean time, I’ve heard good things about Brad Thor’s books, so I ordered the first 4 (in order). Should be getting them later this week (Amazon had a 4-for-3 deal, plus free shipping and no taxes – WIN!!)

I also handed off the Flynn books to Mr. TiFW – starting with American Assassin and Kill Shot. I figure it’s the best way to go. He’s not what you would call a “fast” reader (admittedly, he considers me a speed reader), but he started reading AA last night and is already quite a ways through it. He really likes it.

  18. Jay in Ames March 19, 2012 at 2:44 pm #

That Bristol Palin is a spark plug. That will definitely leave a mark.

American Assassin was my favorite. Thor’s books are good, but after reading Flynn’s books, Scot Harvath came across as “not Mitch Rapp”. Nothing bad against him, but he’s not as tough as Rapp.

Or Mr Clark from Clancy’s books, for that matter. And Harvath and Clark were both SEALs. Ding Chavez was Light Infantry/Ranger, and even he came across as tougher than Harvath.

    IMHO, of course.

(Anyone read Ted Bell? I kinda want to start those, too)

I cross-posted this to my diary over at RedState last night, and it made the “Recommended Diaries” this morning:

Nice one, TiFW. Guess all that Reich Wing reading you’ve been doing got you into a creative mood.

  22. LC Aggie Sith March 19, 2012 at 4:51 pm #

Oh, Bristol is taking no prisoners!! AWESOME!!!

    And I LOL’ed at BOB’s link 😀

  23. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX March 19, 2012 at 4:52 pm #

Thanks, Jay! Actually, the liberals make it way too easy – it’s too bad that all of that sarcasm is totally wasted on them; they don’t even begin to “get” it…..

  24. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX March 19, 2012 at 5:36 pm #

The wind has been blowing pretty hard today, but it’s gotten particularly fierce in the past half hour or so.

No rain yet, but Mr. TiFW (who is STILL home sick – somebody kill me now…) says it’s supposed to rain like an SOB later tonight.

So we’ve got that to look forward to…..

    • LC Aggie Sith March 19, 2012 at 5:40 pm #

Yep, we are predicting it will hit in the night here.

Which means momma will stay up with the puppies… Sigh…

  25. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX March 19, 2012 at 5:45 pm #

Yeah – I’m betting Rebecca will be spending the night in our bed.

Good thing we got “‘certain things” taken care of already….. 😛

  26. LC Aggie Sith March 19, 2012 at 5:50 pm #

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Oh, I am so jealous 😉

  27. terribletroy March 19, 2012 at 7:08 pm #

Well it appears I may survive the “Ordeal by Massive freaking rock stuck inside your back” , or at least the end is a misty vision in sight. Tomorrow I get to go see a Physician with a Insurance card (of dubious nature) where, hopefully I will obtain a appt with a urologist who will (in my deepest hopes) will schedule me for internal sound explosion asap. This stone has been a MOFO and if it wasn’t being blasted, I would keep the Son of a BITCH as a souvenir. Yay me!

My son wants me to read Hunger Games so thats probably next starting tomorrow, but I want to procure the Walking Dead book(s?). I really should read more “stories” books. I read alot on the net but haven’t been ready much character driven stuff.

Bristol Palin….thats some funny. It is in the realm of possibility that this whole “civility and women” thing may just blow up real good in the socialists faces.

Went up and visited with FMWOODS and family, we’re enjoying the “spring” temps of high 70s low 80s and sunny.

The tempo at the seasonal job has increased in response to the good weather so cant post from the phone at work, besides I haven’t figured out how to “log” in from the phone yet…have’t reaaaally tried though.

Im going to head back to my vicoden stupor now…hope all are well

I’d post a rebuttal to QM over at your site, Ags, but I have a policy of never entering a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent….

  30. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX March 19, 2012 at 7:32 pm #

    It’s raining like a mofo here….

  31. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX March 19, 2012 at 7:39 pm #

Oh, and Mr. TiFW and DD#3 are laughing so hard – they’re watching “Vampires Suck” (which is a hilarious movie).

It’s always neat to hear daddies and daughters laughing together!

  32. LC Aggie Sith March 19, 2012 at 8:08 pm #

    That’s so sweet, Teresa 🙂

We are going to get hit late this evening. I predict a long night with the dogs…

J’Ames I have refrained from my normal thoughts of people from Iowa because you seemed the intelligent type but really now?
First I would not be caught dead in an Iowa sweatshirt, ex boyfriend gave me his to wear once and I said go find another.
Second did you read that part …..I’m a CHICK!!!

Oh and I’m so f’ing screwed on my brackets it’s like why did I bother this year, but somehow I’m in 10th(and not tied) out of 97 college friends.

Sorry I was busy with work earlier today.

Second did you read that part …..I’m a CHICK!!!

So you’re saying no vasectomy. Got it.

Does matter if Les Mis is coming out, because Prometheus is also coming out.

  45. clintbird March 20, 2012 at 12:24 am #

Well, it seems John Carter has not done well at the box office and is considered a flop. That’s too bad, because it was really quite entertaining. I’d see it again.

  46. clintbird March 20, 2012 at 12:24 am #

    Prometheus looks very interesting.

  47. clintbird March 20, 2012 at 12:25 am #
