Culinary Masterpiece

18 Feb

I’m going to have to try making these, either in a scooped out biscuit, or just in a cupcake liner. I don’t care as long as I get to eat it.

Have an awesome weekend, my friends, and for those of you in Texas, enjoy the rain!! 😀

Mr. TiFW feels like shit this morning, and yet he is still making me bacon, eggs, and potatoes for brunch.

    I won in the Husband lottery….. 😛

And Rebecca has ALMOST all of the steps down for making her own Chicken Nuggets – she knows that they go in the microwave, she knows where the box is kept, and she knows which bowl we use to microwave them in.

She can also drag the chair over to the microwave, open the door, and turn it on.

But since she has “Staff” to do all of that for her, she just brings it to one of us to do for her.

So, who’s the “retarded” one? 😛

Still no sign of Jay eh? If this keeps up going to have to send a search party….of course first I’ll have to find someone brave enough to go to Iowa…

J’Ames, the lucky bastich, is at a darts tournament. He’s probably still passed out in a ditch somewhere.

Mr. TiFW is feeling poorly, and Rebecca is chattering away while he’s trying to watch a movie.

I’m guessing now isn’t the right time to remind Mr. TiFW that there was a day when we were worried that Rebecca might not ever talk…..

Obama makes it official – the 2012 election is gonna be all about race:

(and dear God, the “official” poster looks like someone drew a bunch of red and blue forks – it’s one of the ugliest things I’ve seen in a long time…..)

I don’t think he can fit that many between his knees at one time, Ags….. 😛

    Good morning, Aggie!

    Mr. TiFW is still sick.
Not “Man-Cold” sick, but he doesn’t feel good.

DD#1 called this morning – she’s been sick for a while now. She asked me what Mono feels like. Ummmm – it’s been 33 YEARS since I had Mono; I don’t exactly remember what my symptoms were…..

    • LC Aggie Sith February 19, 2012 at 11:51 am #

Has she checked Web MD? It’s rather generalized, but she can narrow down the symptoms and get a reasonable answer.

A bad date is usually the onset, or so I hear. **Runs away laughing**

  19. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX February 19, 2012 at 1:50 pm #

Actually, the “onset” is usually a bad case of tonsillitis a couple of weeks prior (I got a particularly nasty case of it during Dead Week my freshman year – Mr. TiFW never got Mono…..).

And it is VERY hard to get mono – most people have a natural immunity from exposure as young kids to the virus that causes it.

I actually read something years ago about a study they did with West Point entrants – they were all tested for exposure to the Epstein-Barr virus. About 10% of the cadets didn’t have signs of the antibody. Of those 10%, a full 60% developed Mono over the next four years; those who had the EB antibody never got Mono.

There is also a HIGH correlation between people with Celiac Disease and people who get Mono. Of course, DD#1 refuses to get tested for CD (or the gene that is associated with CD), so I have absolutely no data point from which to start…..

I’ve never had mono. My dates were never good enough to be bad.

No ditches were occupied this weekend. Can’t say the same about hotel rooms filled with tequila and beer.

Fun time, and everyone survived. I lost my keys for 3 days without knowing it, so it must have been a blast.

An elderly couple are attending church services..
About halfway through, she writes a note and hands it to her husband.
It says, “I just let out a silent fart. What do you think I should do?”
He scribbles back, “Put a new battery in your hearing aid.”

  23. LC Aggie Sith February 19, 2012 at 8:02 pm #

Glad you had a great time, J’Ames. You were missed.

  24. Jay in Ames February 19, 2012 at 8:10 pm #

My dates were never good enough to be bad.

Oh, that’s just wrong. Dates were fun, even the bad ones! Then you just sat around and laughed about it with your friends afterward.

    • LC Aggie Sith February 19, 2012 at 8:12 pm #

All three of them were boring. For them.

  25. Jay in Ames February 19, 2012 at 8:12 pm #

    Hahahaha.

    • LC Aggie Sith February 19, 2012 at 8:14 pm #

      YOU MOCK MY PAIN!!!!

      NEVER DO IT AGAIN!!!

      /Buttercup 😀

  26. Jay in Ames February 19, 2012 at 8:16 pm #

Well, at least one person didn’t have a boring date. At least not boring enough to not come back for that special question.

*calls hallmark for new card design.

Well, at least one person didn’t have a boring date.

    Heh…that’s TRUE!!!
