    Rollercoaster…of luv….
    Rollercoaster….ooh, ooohh, oh, ooh

42 degrees here at 0750am prolly hit 50 today.
(the preceeding message was brought to you by the TerribleTroy center for weather in central Il, paid for by my neighbor who graciously allows me to piggyback on their interwebs waves)

Well, after yesterday’s wonderful weather, we are now having a high of 65* for today. Right now it’s 56* F.

Remember Obama’s promise to not raise taxes on those earning under $250,000?

Well, they “raised” taxes on those earning quite a bit less than $250,000 – they just did it under the radar.

Mr. TiFW made about 10% less this year than he did last year (he had a “signing bonus” of sorts that ran out last year). Regardless, both years our AGI was MUCH less than the government’s “new math” idea of a millionaire.

We got the child tax credit for Rebecca last year, albeit substantially reduced – I guess the government thinks that kids somehow cost less if you make more money.

This year, however, we didn’t get to take the child tax credit – apparently the gov’t lowered the “qualifying” AGI by quite a bit.

Which means that we paid MORE (percentage-wise) in taxes this year than we did last year.

Yeah, the Democrats don’t get to talk to me about what’s “Fair” any more…..

And could somebody explain to me WHY a person is allowed to deduct GAMBLING LOSSES?

    Seriously, WTF?!?!?!?!?!?

I’m not allowed to deduct the interest I paid on my kids’ student loans, but someone else can literally throw their money away, and I’M the one who gets “penalized”?

  6. LC Aggie Sith February 16, 2012 at 10:06 am #

Because fucktardic dems are in charge, Teresa….

  7. Stinky's Dad February 16, 2012 at 10:11 am #

Now now, Comrade TiFW, Dear Leacher..I mean Leader….”knows” whats best for you. You obviously must not have received the proper “education.” But no worries, I hear there is a place in the new re-education schools just for you.

The MSM is now openly reporting that we can expect gas prices to rise very soon, to the tune of 4.50 to 5.00 per gallon. This is due (they report) to the “instability” between Iran (those poor, poor victims) and Israel (those evul evul jooooos). This is despite the fact that they have also reported that the Saudi’s have said no worries, they’ll pick up the slack by increasing production….so why again is the price going up? I too must not have received the proper education. Molon Labe muthafuckers!

Now what oh what could we (as a nation) do to take care of us poor down trodden workers that are obviously being taken advantage of by the evul capitalists? Oh I dont know….maybe we could build a pipeline from a nation that provides a large portion of our oil direct to our refineries?…..NAH…..Maybe we could actually allow for the extraction of our already known oil resources here? nah……I should just eat this fucking shit sandwich, while my grocery bills, energy bills, skyrocket….cause there is nothing we can do to mitigate our resource needs….oh wait there is one thing we could do…..we can rely on completely inefficient, highly expensive energy technologies, that aren’t prevalent to get us through this “transitional” period.

God help me, I want to do terrible terrible things to the traitors and their collaboraters..

(Sigh) Whew….ok I feel better now.

Oh, we’re not gonna to take it
Ya know we just aren’t gonna to take it
We’re not gonna take it anymore…..

  10. clintbird February 16, 2012 at 11:42 am #

TiFW, you can only deduct gambling losses when you claim gambling wins, and the wins have to be more than the losses.

  11. Lizard February 16, 2012 at 12:21 pm #

And here I sit happy with being at 39*(though feels colder) and am hoping to get above 40 again today but snow again tomorrow 🙂

Ugh I so do not want to discuss taxes, I got slammed hard this year.

Ok, I have to ask with the shortage of jobs WHY are we having a shortage of medications and the FDA is trying to score drugs from other countries?

Sorry just a little thing my brain cannot wrap it’s head around.

  12. clintbird February 16, 2012 at 12:37 pm #

The answer is quite simple, Lizzard.

Increasing regulations making it more difficult to profitably bring new drugs to market, expiring patents leading to cheap low or no margin loss leaders in formally profitable segments, plus HUGE increases in liability insurance and ridiculous lawsuit driven “damage” amount awarded by clueless juries … I can go on, if you’d like.

  13. Blackiswhite, Imperial Consigliere February 16, 2012 at 12:47 pm #

You think drugs are expensive now, wait until they are FREE!!!

  14. TerribleTroy February 16, 2012 at 1:01 pm #

Dear Leader has asked that the peasants send him a picture of what they will be spending the “extra” 40 dollars a week that the government has graciously allowed me to keep instead of just being “taken”.

    Dear POS POTUS

Im going to spend that 40 dollars on the 8 gallons of gas it takes to get back and forth from work each week. Can you please allow me to keep another 40 to cover the price of fucking groceries and a little bit of my electric bill?

I hope you have a fucking stroke that leaves you completely paralyzed including your ability to speak.

    In all Sincerity,

  15. clintbird February 16, 2012 at 1:04 pm #

I worked in the pham industry for most of my adult life. Also not helping, regulatory burdens imposed by clueless DC idiots, such as Sarbanes-Oxley, and Dodd-Frank, are SO expensive and difficult to implement that tremendous corporate funds are now being spent on same instead of research and development. Hell, at the huge multi-national company for whom I’m worked, we had more lawyers and checkers of one kind or another on payroll than producers (those actually responsible for inventing, producing, marketing and selling the products).

  16. TerribleTroy February 16, 2012 at 1:05 pm #

No, Im not angry at all….

I say, Grow your own medicine, no, the plants don’t cover it all, but I bet you could cover 33%

And for my next trick.. IM GONNA RUN WITH SCISSORS!

  22. TerribleTroy February 16, 2012 at 3:37 pm #

Where’s Jay? What does he only come here when he’s on the company dime? When he said 5 days off, I thought that was from work…..oh I get it now…..he prolly ran into the dreaded Honeydo list. A mechanism definitely designed to enslave men….and keep them from running with scissors…….

Troy, how long has “Duke Wayne” been pretending to be clever over at the Rott?

  24. TerribleTroy February 16, 2012 at 4:26 pm #

He just appeared in the last two weeks. There was a poster over on the blaze (I dont post there) with the same name, same MO, and writing style. Im real, real reluctant to advocate banning, but this particular creature pushes that envelope. I see very little value in allowing that creature to participate.

  25. Blackiswhite, Imperial Consigliere February 16, 2012 at 4:29 pm #

So Misha’s picked up a Media Matters troll then? Awesome.

  26. TerribleTroy February 16, 2012 at 4:47 pm #

Yeah, the question is, how long will they allow the thing to exist. This creature exists to shit and run.

So, the White House is asking everyone to tell them “What $40 Means to Me” as part of their “Blackmail Congress to vote for the payroll tax extension” campaign.

They have a Facebook page – well, it’s the White House’s FB page – but I was just mad enough to add a reply.

I actually got a couple of people to respond to my comment:

    I had to edumacate ‘em……

  28. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX February 16, 2012 at 5:59 pm #

Of course, my message has already been “archived”.

And they have a new “message” up about what a big help the Payroll Tax Cut is for all of the peons…..

….so I copied and pasted my reply on the thread.

Tina Korbe at HotAir aesthetically is hot as 1000 suns, but on the Periodic Table of Political Analyists, she’s frickin’ helium. I like reading some of what she has to say, but it’s so thin on analysis and sooooo bubble gummy. I like her and want her to shut up, I think. 🙂

  30. Jazz February 16, 2012 at 8:51 pm #

Well, damn, Ms. Korbe is a veteran of the beauty pageant circuit. Who woulda guessed?

Second row, second column of the Teen Arkansas 2005 Delegates section.

Wow, I guess y’all drank all the “Shut the Fuck Up!” tonight. Next time, we’ll have to get a case….
