SOPA is poorly designed by people who may or may not have ever seen the Internet in person, and it’s written for 50- to 60-year-old congressmen who almost certainly did not receive it by email.

John King to a stage hand backstage after the CNN Debate last night

“Can somebody go out on the stage and collect whats left of my ass”?

  13. LC Aggie Sith January 20, 2012 at 9:37 am #

He would ask for his ass, Troy, seeing as he has no balls in the first place.

  14. Jay in Ames January 20, 2012 at 9:38 am #

Was he making his annoying sounds at the debate last night? Or did Newt smack that nervous tic right out of his addled brain?

  15. LC Aggie Sith January 20, 2012 at 9:47 am #

    Great article, J’Ames πŸ˜€

I don’t know….I only watched the smackdown and that was all.

    Sometimes I wonder…

Why is that Frisbee getting bigger?

    Then it hits me.

You could have warned us it was estrogen day at Sithy Things.

    Really? A purse?

  21. clintbird January 20, 2012 at 1:24 pm #

Things you’ll never hear said at a Waffle House: “Nice job cleaning up!”

  22. LC Aggie Sith January 20, 2012 at 3:17 pm #

J’Ames, it’s not a purse. It is a TOTE BAG. And really, estrogen? More like lack of anything to poat.

But if it makes you feel better, Soylent Green added a story πŸ˜€

  23. LC Aggie Sith January 20, 2012 at 3:17 pm #

*hugs CB because darn it, he deserves it*

  24. Dick (@DicksTrash) January 20, 2012 at 5:24 pm #

So its getting warmer, most of eastern Pierce County and Southeastern King County had no power today. We have the snow on the ground, fog, rain, branches, powerlines on the ground (I drove over two of them today without realizing it) and when I called to talk to my secrtetary because I could see she was answering emails, she told me her husband (fmr state trooper) drove her in. She still has no power, said the west end of town looks like a was zone, and that the boss didn’t have power yet, but was going to try to drive in through all the deadfall out his way. Then the phone died. She called me back in the cell to tell me that power went out in the office, and she was going to go home, she’ll see me on Monday.

I-5 south of Olympia closed BOTH ways this morning because of trees on the road, and HWY 18 and 202 were both closed because of trees all over the road.

    Its a mess here.

Glad to hear from you, BisW.

I remember when I lived in Irving, we had a bad freeze back in…. I want to say early 90. It was bad, but worse for those that had never seen a freeze like that before. Poor saps tried driving in it, without chains.

    Hope you guys stay warm!

  27. LC Aggie Sith January 20, 2012 at 6:52 pm #

    *goes to urban dicktionary*

    Uh, nice word, Dick…

  28. Blackiswhite, Imperial Consigliere January 20, 2012 at 7:18 pm #

The downed trees are the most fun.

It just kills me that HWY 18 is closed.

  29. LC Aggie Sith January 20, 2012 at 7:34 pm #

    Time for a wine party.

Women drinking and gossiping. And I can’t do either, but hey, there’s food too, and that I can certainly enjoy.

BisW, why does it bother you about Hwy 18?

  30. Blackiswhite, Imperial Consigliere January 20, 2012 at 7:59 pm #

Because it is 2 lanes in both directions, and I don’t recall trees being close enough to the edge to make a difference.

  31. clintbird January 21, 2012 at 10:21 am #

    Shirlena?
