Calling Air Traffic Control!

14 Dec

Santa’s radio went out, it ended badly…

Pay attention to those rotating beacons in the sky, people. You just never know.

So we wake up this morning, start getting ready, go to wake Rebecca up, and she isn’t in her bed (minor panic).

DD#3 goes downstairs to see if she is there – sure enough, she’s in “her” room (who am I kidding – the entire house is “her” room….), she has the TV on, and she is watching a DVD of Austin Powers.

DD#3 brings her upstairs to get dressed for school, and Rebecca keeps saying, “Yeah, baby!”

Life is never dull with that one around….. 😛

Also, seems this is St. Michaels, Maryland. Dick Cheney and Don Rumsfeld live there, according to this post.

Dick Cheney: Even Santa Claus doesn’t want to mess with him.

I guess I’m gonna have to stop listening to Beck in the morning.
His retarded idiocy and marked misunderstanding of the National Defense Authorization Act makes him sound like a freaking Paulbot.

Kept screaming at the radio this morning “If you’re going to talk about section 1031, then you need to talk about all of it! Subsection (e) addresses what you’re carrying on about, you dopes!”

Whitehouse insiders now confirm that if Iran doesn’t give back our drone as Obama requested, he’s gonna lay that middle finger to his nose flippin’ ’em the bird thing he likes to do when things don’t go his way on ’em.

Yup, BiW, I’ve quit listening , too. In fact, I had been subscribing to GBTV (only $5 a month, and I get a lot more than just Beck). I was going to unsubscribe, but there wasn’t an option to fill out for reason, so I sent a fix request to their webmaster for a form to fill out.

They are gonna hear why I unsubscribed, and it isn’t a technical issue or “not enough information”.

Glen Beck gives me the creeps. . . always has.

Left a couple of comments over at your site, Jay.

Yannow, if anyone ever figures out that “Engineering” is basically “Applied Science for Lazy People”, we’re in BIG trouble…..

Every labor-saving device known to man was invented because some guy or gal got tired of doing the same thing over and over again – they figured out a more efficient way to get the job done so that they could sit down on the couch at the end of the day and not be bone tired from back-breaking physical labor.

One man’s lazy is another man’s “efficient” – it’s all in how you choose to look at it….. 😛

And yeah, Mr. TiFW accused me of being “lazy” when I designed a watering/soaking system many years back that allowed me to – once the “hard” work of designing it and laying it out was done – turn on one faucet for one hour a week in the summertime and get all of the watering done at once.

“You’re too lazy to stand out here and water your plants every day!”

Well yeah, Einstein – it’s 100+ degrees outside, the ground is parched, and if I can only water at night like the city says I can, then you aren’t getting dinner on the table when you get home from work. Plus, we’re talking a good 3-4 hours on my feet just to get a couple of square feet watered.

    -OR-

You can STFU, cut a few pieces of wood and screw them together for me so that I can run these hoses under the brick walkway – I’ve done all of the rest of the work.

AND I can plant a lot more plants this way…..

Did y’all see the Hawaii Five-O deal with the Pearl Harbor vets? Sean put it up at the H2, but make sure you see it. Put something up over at my place with some links:

Who gave Aggie permission to be AWOL all day?

  15. LC Aggie Sith December 14, 2011 at 4:16 pm #

Oh, sorry. I was attending the third and final day of the scrapbooking get together for the nursing home.

Had a great talk with a lovely lady, too. She loved the little card and giftbox I made, and told me it looked like something from Woolworth’s. I was very flattered 🙂

J’Ames, I saw and read the link, and frankly, I will believe the word of the writer over the fuckers at CBS ANY FUCKING DAY OF THE WEEK AND FOUR TIMES ON SUNDAY.

OK – I’d say that an excellent reason to be AWOL! That was awfully sweet of you to do that – I know it means a lot to the folks who are able to get out of their rooms!

  18. LC Aggie Sith December 14, 2011 at 6:39 pm #

It was a lot of fun, Teresa. I’m going to suggest we do this at every holiday, and take our crafting kids along. Those seniors have so many stories to tell.
