I am not, however, putting my machete away just yet.

Tell ya what, Ags – he’s coming back here in December; wants to meet Mr. TiFW and me, and will probably be going with us on our annual pilgrimage to Mr. TiFW’s mom’s house.

If the boy doesn’t meet spec, we’ll call ya up on our way to Brackettville, and we can scatter the pieces along Hwy 90…. ๐Ÿ˜›

    This is good:

Subject: Letter from the Boss – A real letter from a real company

    To All My Valued Employees,

There have been some rumblings around the office about the future of this company, and more specifically, your job. As you know, the economy has changed for the worse and presents many challenges. However, the good news is this: The economy doesn’t pose a threat to your job.

What does threaten your job however, is the changing political landscape in this country. Of course, as your employer, I am forbidden to tell you whom to vote for – it is against the law to discriminate based on political affiliation, race, creed, religion, etc.

Please vote who you think will serve your interests the best. However, let me tell you some little tidbits of fact which might help you decide what is in your best interest. First, while it is easy to spew rhetoric that casts employers against employees, you have to understand that for every business owner there is a back story….

    wanky wanky

  7. Car in October 27, 2011 at 8:24 am #

that letter, though, isn’t new and it wasn’t written by that guy:

In reference to the โ€œTo all my valued employeesโ€ letter currently circulating the internet:

This letter was forwarded to me by a colleague. While the letter may indeed be authentic, I was not the author and I do not know the identity of the original author. I forwarded it to the โ€œJohn McCain Joe the Plumbersโ€ email group prior to the election. Someone moved my contact information into the body of the message making it appear that I was the author of the letter. I would appreciate your removing my contact information prior to forwarding this message.

    Michael A. Crowley, PE

    The author is unknown.

    GOOD MORNING!!!

I’m sure the author wants to remain unknown, too ๐Ÿ˜‰

  9. Car in October 27, 2011 at 8:48 am #

Yea, but it would be nice if he went public and gave it some authenticity.

The truthiness is there. I mean, we’re living that right now – the struggling, working 6 days a week, 12 hour days, etc.

Also, they need to clean it up because passing it around with the wrong name is problematic.
and a changed date. It is from 2009, at least, if not earlier.

  11. Car in October 27, 2011 at 8:49 am #

    sorry, 2008

  12. LC Aggie Sith October 27, 2011 at 9:28 am #

    Indeed.

But I do hope that some entrepreneurs and corporate peeps will adapt the letter to suit their needs, and use it as leverage.

  15. Car in October 27, 2011 at 9:55 am #

Ha ha ha … that was great J’ames. These tools don’t know what hard work and sacrifice are. They think they’ve been screwed by the economy, when the reality of the situation is that life usually sucks hard after graduation from college. You take any job you can get not one that “actualizes” you. stupid kids.

Thanks for that clarification, Car in – I’ve amended my files accordingly! (Saw that link late last night right before I went to bed; just sent it along as is)
