    Too late.

Besides, it would just be another sign that it is a flawed document in Dear Leader’s eyes.

Oh, and if someone looks at the poat in draft, it says it is being edited.

But I would never edit a poat unless asked 🙂

A MOST excellent article – you’re gonna want to pass this one along:

    Yes, very good article, TiFW!

  12. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX September 28, 2011 at 10:45 am #

I really like the posts at that site. It gives an insight into the Middle Eastern/Islamist culture/mindset.

It sort of made me wonder if labelling someone an “Untouchable” in that part of the world was a way to keep Christians from getting killed all these centuries.

Of course, my mind goes to weird places sometimes – I was thinking the other day that maybe monasteries and convents were set up centuries ago to give homosexuals a place to be safe. (Yeah, I know it’s a radical thought, but I’ve got lots of time to just sit and think, and my mind goes out to play)

Sometimes, things are in existence long enough that the generations that come after don’t know WHY they were set up in the first place, and they tear them down, not knowing that they are opening up a Pandora’s box…..

  13. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX September 28, 2011 at 11:03 am #

I was thinking the very same thing:

    http://theulstermanreport.com/2011/09/27/limbaugh-calls-b-s-on-obama-heckler-scenario/

Also, just wondering about the “story” of people booing a gay serviceman in Iraq and/or cheering a person not getting healthcare that Obama is spreading at all of his fundraisers/campaigns/”jobs bill” stops – the Dems have got to HATE the new media pulling back the curtains so fast on their tricks that have worked so well in the past…..

  14. LC Aggie Sith September 28, 2011 at 11:15 am #

I thought it was so odd that the soldier would be booed, Teresa. It was so suspect, especially in light of the situation.

  24. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX September 28, 2011 at 3:25 pm #

SD, I think that a FEW of them now are the activists – the rest of them are the homeless and mentally ill who will hang around anyone who will provide them with food and a few coins (and knowing this hippie crowd, a few tokes…..).

They’ll bitch and moan when they are finally told to disperse, and make noise about brutality and sticking it to the man, and then they’ll all go back to the rocks they crawled out from under and start having pointless meetings again.

Mr. TiFW and I were talking about that this morning – those mental institutions existed FOR A REASON. Those folks who couldn’t be trusted to be on their own, but weren’t breaking any laws needed a place to live where they could be crazy and still be sheltered.

When the do-gooders came through and tore those places down, they didn’t understand WHY they were there in the first place…..

I got the sweetest comment on my blog today about yesterday’s post!

I read this post at work yesterday. When I left work I decided to stop by my favorite watering hole for a quick beer. A friend of mine was there and was ranting and raving about BIG CORPORATIONS! And OMG they are making too much money, and sticking it to the little guy, and Wall Street is getting everything they deserve and yada yada yada! I sat quietly and listened to him until he lost some steam. Then I said “Oh? Really?” Then I pulled out my laptop, pulled up your post and had him read it. He ordered another beer, and started to read. I just sat quietly. He pushed the laptop back over to me and didn’t say anything further. He and I finished our beers in silence. I didn’t say anything, just put my laptop back in the bag. As I got up to leave and bid him goodnight, he looked me square in the eyes and said, ” I hate you.”, with a smile on his face. I asked why? He said something about me being brutal when it came to politics. I told him I don’t think it’s brutal to state FACTS. I also told him I didn’t argue anything with him. I just gave him a post to read, and that by gawd a little common sense goes along way!
He said, “You’re right.” I said goodnight again and left.

But dayum, that sure was satisfying! So I want to say thank you! It’s a pleasure!

Big Party tomorrow and it’s gonna start early.

5:00 a.m. ET: A whole bunch of eurozone confidence indexes are due.
8:30 a.m.: Weekly jobless claims are due. Economists think they’re frozen at about 420,000 now. Too high.
8:30 a.m.: Commerce takes its third crack at estimating second-quarter GDP. Probably still not great.
10:00 a.m.: The pending-home sales index for August is due. Probably won’t be higher.

    Earnings:

    Micron Technology

    FedSpeak/Eurozone foolishness:

8:30 a.m.: Philadelphia Fed President Charles Plosser speaks.
Germany’s parliament is due to vote on expansion of the EFSF.

The market should begin to tank at the opening bell.

  41. Stinky's Dad September 28, 2011 at 6:50 pm #

It’s quite amusing, yet somewhat distressful at the same moment. It’s as if all the candidates want Romney to win.

This is politics – it ain’t beanbag.

Anyone remember the 1980 Republican primaries? Bush wasn’t exactly singing Ronald Reagan’s praises……

  43. Jay in Ames September 28, 2011 at 7:01 pm #

I saw the comment you left at Sithy.

I can only assume that is an urban term….

  50. GuyS September 28, 2011 at 8:19 pm #

Dutch Oven: (n) slang/ To keep someone’s head under blankets, usually one’s bed sheets/covers, while breaking wind.

“While lying in bed, Tom took his blankets and quickly covered his little brother’s head, at the same time letting loose with the loudest and smelliest fart imaginable. The persons head is to remain under the covers for as long as it takes the offensive vapors to have maximum effect on them. This is commonly referred to as giving someone a “Dutch Oven”.”

Hope that cleared that up for you Aggie.

Cain pretty much alienated me with his remark about Perry today and I do buy what O’Reilly said, but we’ll see what happens. Seems like a new drama unfolds just about every other day lately.
Funny how everyone is diving into Perry’s shit over making Mexican kids pay the same as American kids for schooling, but everybody seems a bit tired when it comes to Romneycare…That, I don’t get.

everybody seems a bit tired when it comes to Romneycare…That, I don’t get.

Neither do I!! I have friends that actually tell me that IT’S NOT IMPORTANT, because it HAPPENED IN ANOTHER STATE.

    Charlietittyfuckinghell….

  74. Jay in Ames September 28, 2011 at 10:36 pm #

I can actually excuse both of them, because of the situation in both states.

Perry has a lot of illegal immigration, and was trying to lessen the impact.

Romneycare was gonna get passed in the People’s Republic of Taxachussetts, so Romney got the best deal he could.

But you are right, they aren’t being treated equally. The media knows Perry is more conservative, so they are gonna pad it for Romney. Then they’ll go nuts on him in the general.

I still think Cain can recover and do well. I hope he didn’t piss too many people off, and he recovers quickly.

  75. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX September 28, 2011 at 10:40 pm #

This little stunt at the Occupy Wall Street lovefest didn’t get much airtime – I guess when you’re caught in a lie, you don’t want too many people finding out about it. I’ll be over Cain’s remarks by the time breakfast rolls around. The more I see of Cain, the more questions I have and not in a bad way or anything. I simply hadn’t ever heard of the guy until six months ago when Roamy brought him up, and I still don’t know enough about him.

Heard about that story today, TiFW, was quite funny.

And I believe you. But what fun is that?

    Nite Aggie!

  81. GuyS September 28, 2011 at 11:18 pm #

    nite Aggie and SD.

Had Cain said he will feel this way about Perry 18 months from now, or more, than I would have a whole different feeling about the man. Sounds more like primary politics jaw boning to me.

Let’s hope there is even an election held come a year from November, rather than getting our knickers in a knot over all the back bitting going on in the GOP hog wallow.

  82. Jay in Ames September 28, 2011 at 11:20 pm #

If Cain hadn’t lost me with his 2nd amendment and no Muslims in government comments, I would have been behind him at the Iowa Straw Poll. Perry wasn’t there, so the one I went with was Bachmann. Can’t back her anymore, no way.

Cain was, and is the most positive candidate out there. He gives us something to vote for, rather than voting against something. He tells it like he sees it, which gets him into trouble.

He’s argued with Bill Clinton about the 94 health care bill, was in the KC Federal Reserve, and favors an audit, worked with Gingrich in the 94 Congress as a civilian consultant. All while bringing Burger King and Godfathers up to a level where someone else bought them, for a handsome profit. Also ran the Restaurant Association, and ran it well. He was running Godfathers when he argued with Clinton over HillaryCare.

“I’m sorry, with all due respect, your calculations are wrong Mr Clinton.”

    “We Can’t Afford It”

By the way, I think he was working for Warren Buffet at that time, running Godfathers. Either that, or Buffett bought Godfathers after Cain ran it.

  83. GuyS September 28, 2011 at 11:50 pm #

He is (or was?) sketchy on his constitution. But I have a feeling he will either quickly get up to speed on areas he is remiss on (the 2nd amendment for example) before the close of the primary season, or we will have one less candidate to honestly chose from.

Last businessman of any sort I can remember in the White House was Truman.
