Michelle Bachman for President

IMO, her presidential chances are much higher than most if not all so-called political experts say they are. What say you? Discuss.

Michelle has bigger balls than many Republicans and ALL liberals.

I agree, CB, but she has some conservatives hopping mad due to her stance concerning VA hospitals.

There will be no perfect candidate, trust me.

The very prospect would make Chrissy “Tngles” Matthews apopaletic.

It would be fun to see from that perspective alone.

As much as I would like a woman president, I still think that we need someone who is not so polarizing. Don’t know if Bachmann can overcome that.

  6. LC Aggie Sith March 14, 2011 at 11:42 am #

I think Matthews’ head would implode.

    And Olbermann’s would shrivel up.

  7. Blackiswhite, Imperial Consigliere March 14, 2011 at 11:48 am #

I don’t know that any real conservative can be seen as anything other than polarizing. I’m not sure that anyone can realistically hope to bridge the gap between the Left and the Right. But then, I don’t know that there is anyone left on the Left who still believes in Americans being Americans, and not neutered little europeons casting about for a “strong leader” to decide everything for them.

I do know that the Congresswoman does believe in Americans determining their fate for themselves and not having someone else decide it for them, and because of that, she gets closer to the front of the line than people like Huckleberry or Tim Pawlenty. Newt is a joke, and Romney cannot overcome the albatross that is Romneycare. I like Christie’s financial stance, but he’s another east coast squish on guns.

  8. clintbird March 14, 2011 at 11:48 am #

I must totally disagree with you, Aggie. Mushy middle of the road republican candidates have two problems. First, if they do get elected they won’t save our country from the disaster that’s been engineered by the progressives. Second, they won’t win.

  9. clintbird March 14, 2011 at 11:50 am #

As an aside, I have ZERO interest in “cooperating” with the progressives. I want to defeat them, humilate them, prosecute them, imprison them, drive them from the landscape of American politics for ever and ……… and ……… and ……… fart in their face!

  10. LC Aggie Sith March 14, 2011 at 11:54 am #

Oh, no, CB. I agree with you on the squishy quotient!

I guess what I mean is, the conservative has to have hide made of titanium to overcome the hatred.

  11. Blackiswhite, Imperial Consigliere March 14, 2011 at 12:00 pm #

I don’t want the Progressives humiliated. It isn’t enough for a group of people who completely betrayed the American Ideal and Birthright. It isn’t enough for these people to offer collectivism as an answer to problems they created, but they have to compel my participation in it as well. For that, there simply is no circle in hell deep enough, dark enough, or hot enough for an eternity of torment for them.

  12. LC Aggie Sith March 14, 2011 at 12:01 pm #

Ok, CB…I see Bachmann as POTUS better now:

No. What they need is the attitude of a parent.

Patience enough to correct the falacies when they are repeated, time after time after time after time after time after time, the firmness to stare down the impudence of the ignorant and outraged, and a love of country deep enough to endure the inevitable foot-stamping and door slamming that will come until the least mature among us come to the realization that the best person to decide how each of them will live, and grow, and prosper is themself, and not a nanny state which only creates misery, then offers just enough assistance to alieviate a degree of it, in exchange for being granted power that they were never meant to have.

Since I doubt that Bammy (or any of his sycophants) was paying attention when Carter was in office, let me spell it out for him:

The first presidential election I was eligible to participate in was in 1980, when I waited in line for over an hour to proudly cast my vote for The Great One™ .

The anger then was NOTHING compared to what it is right now – and I didn’t start paying attention until halfway through his term (I was in high school before then). We didn’t have the Internet then, either – I shudder to think what the atmosphere would have been like if we had.

I’ve noticed that Bammy’s team is already doing whatever they can to nullify the Repubs that they perceive as a hindrance to his re-election (SOP for this scumbag). They keep trying to introduce the idea that Sarah Palin isn’t electable – they forget (or never knew) that was the same thing that was said about Reagan.

These idiots don’t understand that people who need a strong leader (liberals) WANT someone who is strong, not a limp-wristed nancy-boy. And people who are strong enough to do for themselves recognize that a person who is morally strong and self-assured will stand up to those who are more interested in what’s best for them, and not for the country at large.

Bammy is in for a rude awakening come November, 2012….

Yes, BisW, I know they need to be a parent.

  22. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX March 14, 2011 at 12:23 pm #

I’ve been around the block enough to recognize that we need to look at people with executive experience to field as candidates for President. Most members of the House and Senate don’t have that, unfortunately.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – if you want a candidate who has demonstrated courage, look no further than Sarah Palin. She knew ahead of time that she was going to have a child with Down syndrome, and she made the decision to go through with the pregnancy. That tells me all I need to know about the kind of leader that she is.

Take away the Facebook salvos; the fact that she is the only person on either side of the political aisle to continually stand up to the fraud that is our current CiC; the fact that she keeps telling the cold hard truth when nobody else will; and the fact that she keeps getting up, brushing herself off, and coming back with both barrels blazing when she gets knocked down.

Strip all of those away from her, and she still exudes confidence, character, decency, and a fierce love of family and country that is obviously absent in Obama and his ilk.

And if Bammy doesn’t think that SP knows how to fight, he hasn’t met any parents of kids with special needs….

The only reason I give Sarah the nod above Pence is she can make a liberal’s head explode simply by showing up.

That’s some world class Harry Potter shit right there.

  34. beasn March 14, 2011 at 12:38 pm #

These idiots don’t understand that people who need a strong leader (liberals) WANT someone who is strong,

I will disagree somewhat. The ‘idiots’ I know and am related to are just as wishy washy and chaotic their own selves with a heaping dose of envy and greed. They are okay with a nancy-boy that has the power to take from others and give to them.

That is our real problem. Not nancy-boys. In a sane world, he would have been laughed off the stage and sent back to the toilet of Chicago.

  35. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX March 14, 2011 at 12:40 pm #

Pence is setting himself up for a FUTURE presidential run – he’s getting executive experience and seasoning by (hopefully) being Indiana’s next governor. It’s a great strategy, and one that will probably work marvelously.

God willing, we will get a good non-squishy Repub in office in 2012 for 8 years, then Pence will be in a position to come in for another 8 years. Stability for 1/2 a generation would be a very good thing….

  36. Jazz March 14, 2011 at 12:41 pm #

BTW, I didn’t intend to denigrate Sarah Palin. I like her, and I would love to watch some lefty heads explode if she were elected, but I don’t see her as a marketable commodity right now in terms of the Oval Office. I don’t think the Independents have latched onto her, and she turns off a bit of the base; without these demographics, she’s not getting anywhere.

  37. Dick March 14, 2011 at 12:41 pm #

What? The bukkake and horse fucking?
Hell, I could talk that bitch into doing it on her own free will and I betcha she’d ask for seconds.

Good grief, she was horrified her daughter ordered and ate Domino’s goodness. If it was such a horrific sin in her eyes, then she must suck as a parent if her daughter ignores what she deems as horrible.

No doubt if her daughter got pregnant, she would drive her to get an abortion and wear the experience as a badge of honor as she commiserates with her lib friends.

  42. Jazz March 14, 2011 at 12:47 pm #

A must-read. You’ve seen the first letter. I’m betting you haven’t seen the second.

A death threat serious enough that State Department of Justice is investigating it–along with “several” others made to Republican legislators, followed by a thinly-veiled threat of extortion by public service union police official sent to the director of a financial services company. An extortion letter co-signed by other police, firefighting and teacher union “leaders” as well.

  44. Dick March 14, 2011 at 12:49 pm #

I hope the Knicks get her daughter pregnant.

On the same train of thought; Stinky announced to Kel and I the other day that he wasn’t gonna have any kids to which I replied by laughing my ass off.
He thinks he has a choice.

  45. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX March 14, 2011 at 12:50 pm #

They are okay with a nancy-boy that has the power to take from others and give to them.

And so far, they don’t see that much has been “given” to them. They’re worse off now than they were before their savior ascended to the throne. A LOT of Democrats voted for Reagan in 1980 for that very reason, and it’s going to happen again, because Bammy – like Carter – doesn’t have a clue how to turn things around.

And the reasons that Bammy wasn’t laughed off of the stage in Chicago are twofold:

    1) He knows that he can’t win a fair fight, so he has his minions undermine all of his competition so he has a clear field.

    2) White guilt on the part of Independents and RINOs.

He’s already started doing #1 to the Republican field of potential candidates (see: Axelrod praising Romneycare). His handlers are already saying out loud that the ONLY candidate that they can beat in a landslide is Sarah Palin. If I recall correctly, Carter said the same thing about Reagan….

    #2 ain’t gonna happen again.

  46. Dick March 14, 2011 at 12:53 pm #

    Too soon?

  47. beasn March 14, 2011 at 12:53 pm #

    Question…

Someone lends a family member a thousand bucks. Several years pass and the lender, in an email, asks the member for the cash back when a need for said cash arises.

The member responds that they were going to start paying back at a certain time.

    The time passes and nada.

With the exchange of emails, are those proof enough to have an outside intervention make the member pay up?

  48. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX March 14, 2011 at 12:54 pm #

The husband does not see Palin as Presidential. He doesn’t like any of the other supposed ‘contenders’ either.

If she’s the Republican candidate, will he vote for her, though?

Many people weren’t voting for Reagan per se, back in 1980; they were voting “ABC – Anyone but Carter”.

Reagan’s landslide election was in 1984, not 1980….

  49. beasn March 14, 2011 at 12:55 pm #

And so far, they don’t see that much has been “given” to them.

Did I mention that those ‘idiots’ I know are okay with that. They are of the kind that think ‘if I can’t have it, then noone else should’.

  50. Dick March 14, 2011 at 12:56 pm #

    Beasn, yep.
Problem with loaning money to family members is that since they’re family, they think they can let it slide.

For a price, Lefty and Guido can make anyone pay up, and that’s the best kind of outside intervention that there is.

Teresa, he probably will as another 4 years of the thug won’t do.

  54. Jazz March 14, 2011 at 12:58 pm #

Hahahah! Beasn, sorry – don’t mean to laugh. I have deadbeat family, too, though.

While I’d have fun with the evidence in court, are the emails enough to get the person pay up on their own accord, even with a third party’s attention? Not very likely, unless that third party is a court. There obviously is no feeling of personal obligation or urgency, and these feelings can’t be created externally. I suspect only looming negative repercussions from the failure to repay are likely to garner results.

  55. LC Aggie Sith March 14, 2011 at 12:58 pm #

With the exchange of emails, are those proof enough to have an outside intervention make the member pay up?

    Yes, it is proof enough.

  56. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX March 14, 2011 at 1:01 pm #

Jazz, I didn’t think that you were denigrating Sarah Palin, either. Pence simply isn’t planning on running for President right now – he’s planning for the future, which is a win-win for all of us.

From what I can recall of the 1980 election, Reagan wasn’t expected to win the R nomination – Bush the Elder was the early leader. Naming Bush as his VP was strategy on Reagan’s part to bring in all of the voters who wouldn’t have voted for him otherwise. Sheer brilliance on his part….

  57. Jazz March 14, 2011 at 1:03 pm #

Elections have consequences, unless you’re a liberal.

Losing an election doesn’t mean you have to like it. Go ahead, be outraged at the Wisconsin union bill. If you think Gov. Scott Walker and the Republican legislature went too far, take your outrage to the ballot box in 2012. That’s democracy.
Unfortunately, the AWOL Wisconsin Democrats are not an aberration. Indiana Democrats are playing the same game. More broadly, the political left has a modern history of accepting elections only when they win.

  58. Jazz March 14, 2011 at 1:08 pm #

Family breakdown was elephant in the room at anti-bullying circus

By hosting an all-day White House conference on adolescent bullying last week, President Obama elevated a schoolyard issue to the level of public enemy No. 1, perhaps on a par with the first lady’s labors on behalf of childhood obesity.
Typical of all federal “preventions” that mobilize the Departments of Education or Health and Human Services on behalf of some perceived crisis, none of the players of the conference had the guts to yank at the underlying root of the bullying culture: family breakdown. . . .

Indeed, the research literature reveals a robust correlation between parental divorce or unwed parenthood and bullying, along with other negative childhood and adolescent behaviors that have the media and school administrators up in arms.

It’s a good thing views on abortion and gay marriage don’t play any roles in traditional family values. or some people would be in trouble.

  59. beasn March 14, 2011 at 1:09 pm #

Jazz, that is what I meant by a third party.

Thing is, if the tables were turned, this particular family member would have told me to get screwed. She would have never helped in the first place but if she did, she would go ballistic if I did to her what she has done to me. I have no doubt she would find a way to take me to court.

Get this, another family member called me the other day and informed me that she told my dad that she already paid me back. When told that that was not the case, my dad asks, ‘how do you know beasn is not lying’? WTF? There are two people in my family with a history of taking people’s money and never paying back AND I AM NOT ONE OF THEM. I have never asked for nor taken anything from anyone, in my family. They usually come to me.

Then, of course, he had to slam me by saying that if I wanted to have or save my money, I should do what they used to do when he had pets (hamsters) as a kid…let them die and throw them away.

That is irrelevant to the issue.

  60. LC Aggie Sith March 14, 2011 at 1:09 pm #

  63. Jazz March 14, 2011 at 1:15 pm #

Well, beasn, $1K debt is going to be a small-claims dispute, so there won’t be any lawyers involved. With your emails, you’ve got a leg to stand on (you will have to establish that the emails came from her), and you’ve got a fair chance of getting a court to see things your way. Nothing’s guaranteed, but I’ve filed suit on less.

  64. beasn March 14, 2011 at 1:16 pm #

  65. Teresa in Fort Worth, TX March 14, 2011 at 1:17 pm #

I had seen the second, Jazz. That’s the more alarming of the two letters, IMO.

I was talking with Mr. TiFW about this when I saw it – the bad part about the second letter is that the people who signed it did so not as private citizens, but in their “official” capacity as public “servants”.

It’s fine for us as private citizens to write to any public official or private business and tell them that we will be taking our votes/business elsewhere – that’s what members of the Tea Party did all across the land.

What those people did in Wisconsin was to essentially threaten public officials/business owners with the withdrawal of PROTECTION which is already being paid for by their tax dollars. Unfortunately, there was no SPECIFIC threat made, so I don’t know what can be done about it – legally I think they can’t be found “guilty”….

  66. beasn March 14, 2011 at 1:19 pm #

The husband already wrote the money off the day we loaned the cash out. I’m not that easy.

Beasn, if ya want it to quit bugging you, do what hubby did. Write it off and forget about.

Dick, there are already huge divisions in the family. I want nothing to do with most of them and have cut off the toxins for the most part.

This particularly family member gave me a lecture on how social security is not socialism and how we, as a society, must take care of each other. Well, I see myself in need right now and would like to have MY own money back to give me some piece of mind. To her, society does not include her.

Call me ‘sand’. I want her to chafe.

Jazz, watch it over and over a few times. Let it sink in.

Videos like that could provoke me to inhuman retribution. I felt a bit of me die when I watched that, and it was not a bad part. Shit like that makes me understand the lure of the dark side – even if going there is ostensibly for good reasons. I don’t want to dwell there; I scare myself.

I once made the same mistake with the Daniel Pearl video. My and my insatiable curiosity. Another BIG mistake. Some stuff can’t be undone, no matter how much we wish it. Watching the Pearl video and now the vid of the slain family are such stuff of permanency.

Why you should never misjudge your opponent.

That fat kid reminds me of the kid from Bad Santa. Good on him – it’s nearly an exact replay of an incident from my youth. Fifth grade, to be exact – but there were no cameras. All it took was one display of what I could do with the twit if I wanted and he never, ever bothered me again. He never even spoke to me again, and we shared a classroom for another three years. Last I heard, my antagonist – Virgil – was in jail.

  87. LC Aggie Sith March 14, 2011 at 3:37 pm #

In watching that bully link I noticed how the kid dropped the bully. Luckily, the bully didn’t have a broken leg, as much as he deserved it.

  88. Jazz March 14, 2011 at 3:40 pm #

The bully’s leg smashed on that concrete retaining wall. Fuck’m. If the kid’s leg had broken, he would have received his just desserts. I hope it hurt worse than it looks.

  89. LC Aggie Sith March 14, 2011 at 3:41 pm #

Oh, I’m sure it did. My concern was for the bullied kid’s folks, who would have been sued by the bully’s folks.

My concern was for the bullied kid’s folks, who would have been sued by the bully’s folks.

With the events that video just chronicled, I’d be more concerned about the fate of this morning’s used asswipe. That’s not saying that there’s not an attorney who wouldn’t sue, but I wouldn’t want to be that attorney when this footage is shown in court.

  91. Jazz March 14, 2011 at 3:52 pm #

I’ve just seen what a clusterf*** has been made in the past whenever someone with NO executive experience tries to run anything at a high level. Our choices last election were: 1)Bad and 2)Worse. Neither one of them had exec.exp.

If more bullies got what they deserved, there would be fewer problems in the world. Unfortunately, a lot of today’s bullies on the liberal side are of the attorney variety. Stupid bullies can be handled; it’s the smart ones you have to watch out for…

One of Mr. TiFW’s coworkers’ brothers is an attorney. There are some interesting stories that make their way home. This particular fella was one of those kids who liked to beat up on kids when he was younger. He got kicked out of school a couple of times, and his family finally put him in a Catholic school as a last resort.

Well, the coaches there came up with a novel solution when they couldn’t get him to quit fighting. They told him that he could fight anyone in the school, but if they decided they didn’t want to fight him, they could pick who would fight him instead.

Sure enough, he picked another fight, and the kid decided he wanted the COACH to fight in his stead. Beat the everlovin’ tar out of this guy’s brother. Happened a couple more times before he finally wised up.

Then the coach decided to just make him run until he couldn’t run any more whenever he saw him start to get antsy. He ended up with some cross-country medals, I believe…..

The kid ended up going to law school, and is now a VERY successful attorney. As he says, “It is ALMOST as much fun putting a criminal away as it is to beat someone up!”

When White House officials, particularly members of the press office, see a story they don’t like, they often call and verbally abuse the reporter who wrote the piece.

So why do the reporters put up with it? Why don’t the reporters have one of those thingies on their phone where they warn callers that the call may be monitored, so proceed with caution? And then play/print the transcript of who said what.

    Spineless whiners.

    Does anyone here watch “Southland”?

If’n you want something fun to do, go to Car in’s site and play with her troll.

I can’t. Too many people over there hate me, which I really enjoy.

It’s my place. Everyone knows I hang here. It’s no secret that I don’t hate you.

But the playtoy is kinda dense anyway.
